Jansa Duo — Individual Biographies
Christine Rox

First prizewinner at the 1991 Max Rostal Competition in Berne, Switzerland, Christine was born in Bochum, Germany. She studied with Igor Ozim at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne and with William Preucil, first violinist of the Cleveland Quartet.
Christine has performed with leading orchestras including the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Kölner Kammerorchester. As a member of chamber music ensembles such as Musica Antiqua Köln and Ensemble Modern, she participated in numerous radio broadcasts and toured venues throughout Europe, the US and Asia. She is a founding member of the baroque ensemble Alte Musik Köln.
As violinist of the Jansa Duo, Christine is devoted to the duo repertoire for violin and violoncello from the baroque era to the present.
Klaus-Dieter Brandt

Klaus-Dieter Brandt studied with Ulrich Voss in Sarrebruck, Claus Kanngießer in Cologne and Roel Dieltiens in Leuven, Belgium. He studied period performance with Rainer Zipperling in Frankfurt, Germany and historical performance practice with Ilton Wjuniski in Paris, where he was awarded the Diplome superieure. He has performed internationally throughout North and South America, Israel and Asia. Appearances include the Salzburger Festspiele, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Tonhalle Zurich and Carnegie Hall.
In addition to a long period as solo cellist of Musica Antiqua Köln, he has been a member of various chamber music ensembles specializing in historical performance such as Chiaroscuro, Capella Augustina and Musica Fiata.
Klaus-Dieter is a founding member of the baroque ensemble Alte Musik Köln.
